Schweizer Jugend forscht, national contest 2009

Did you ever dream of observing the sky with professional telescopes from one of the best places in the world? Thanks to the Special Price for the International Year of Astronomy 2009 this may come true. The price includes a 10-day trip to Chile with visits of the European Southern Observatory (ESO) and the possibility to carry out your observations at the Swiss Telescope in La Silla.

The price will honor an project on astromony within the national "Schweizer Jugend forscht" S2009 contest. The project must also include a proposal for astronomical observations. Deadline for the national contest is the 15 october 2008. The contest will close from 23 to 25 april 2009, with an exhibition and award ceremony. The winning astronomical observations will be carried out during the trip to Chile.
